Wahoo KICKR 2017 Direct Drive Turbo Trainer

Description

The 2017 Wahoo Kickr Power Trainer has been given an update. Bicycles with a Boost (12 x 148 mm through axle) fit can now also make use of the Kickr power trainer. There's also increased space for disc brake bikes and more bikes with a 12 x 142 mm rear axle size can now fit as well. The 2017 Wahoo Kickr Power Trainer naturally still boasts the same fantastic properties as the previous generations. Because if it's good enough for the "marginal gains" philosophy of Team Sky, you can expect outstanding quality. For them, it's paramount that their equipment supplies them with reliable data and the most natural riding sensation.

High output and steep gradients

The power measurements are even more accurate than with the previous Kickr, and the trainer can now generate up to 2000 Watts of resistance. This is something only the very best world-class sprinters can achieve. Gradients of up to 20% can be simulated as well, which combined with the large flywheel means you've got some serious pedalling to do in order to reach the top, just like you would outside but without the risk of your rear wheel slipping on the trainer. The algorithms have been tweaked to experience the most realistic cycling feel even when your sprinting or climbing. The change in resistance is extremely gradual and shock free. Particularly when you're accelerating, slowing down, or going up or down a mountain, does this become important. It makes things like Zwift feel more realistic as well.
