Seem better for knees, but are not
Purchased these to replace my shimano spd pedals because they are said to be better for knees. Time pedals are said to have more float than shimano and thus cause less knee pain. Unfortunately, I find the opposite. You sit tighter in the Time pedals than in Shimano spd and also have less float, causing more knee pain than with Shimano spd. Only advantage is that the plates are easier to adjust. You can only move them forwards or backwards. Moving the plates more to the left or right or turning them like with spd is not possible.

Good pedal choice
Latest time xc pedals are light and reliable. Great for gravel or touring as well. After years of use can say that Time are easy to set up and good for the knees.

Good pedal choice

Time Atac XC2 mtb pedals are the entry-level model in the Time assortment. Particularly suitable for your daily rides on a mountain bike, cyclocross or trekking bike. With Time Atac XC2 pedals you don't have to set spring tension, it's easy to engage the pedals. By changing the cleats from left to right, you can switch from a 13-degree angle to a 17-degree angle.
