Description

The Sram XX1 Eagle Dub SL MTB 12-speed crankset is a top-of-the-range Sram crankset. The Sram XX1 Eagle Dub SL crank has been adapted to the new Dub fit. With Dub, Sram has released a new standard, so you don't have to think about whether you have a GXP or BB30 fit. All this has been brought back to 1 fit of 29mm. The Sram XX1 Eagle Dub SL crankset is also Sram's most lightweight and rigid crankset, completing every Sram XX1 Eagle groupset.

Technology

X-Sync 2 is Sram's term for the latest version of the narrow-wide tooth profile. The teeth have been made taller and fitted with steeper slanting in all directions. This should make the chain engage on the teeth more quietly and reduce friction under extreme chain lines.

A poor design and also very expensive product from SRAM

After 1500 km already the first wear spots are visible on the axle of the XX1 dub crankset, i.e. where the bearing shells touch the axle. The axle of the XX1 dub crankset is aluminium and the axle is anodised on the outside and this hard coating wears off very quickly. The result is backlash and dirt now going in (lots of maintenance required). Both Mantel and SRAM (Germany) see this as a normal wear process!

Very nice lightweight carbon crank that is well finished. Actually only notice little difference compared to the previous gx crank. Easy to mount due to hexagonal fixing.
