Description

Description

It has the same excellent qualities as its predecessor, only the colour is different. The eTAP XG-1190 cassette is the most advanced 11-speed cassette ever made. It is incredibly light, quiet and has unequivocal performance advantages. It has a StealthRing between every cog in the cluster, to reduce vibration and noise. The cutouts on the rear reduce weight and increase stiffness.

This cassette is one of the parts that make the 11-speed eTap drivetrain perfect. Combined with the new Sram eTAP rear derailleur, this cassette offers fast and quiet shifts so you're always in the right gear.

Technology

• Heat-treated, high-grade steel
• StealthRing elastomeres and advanced profiles eliminate vibrations and noise for a smooth and quiet ride
• Opbouw van groot naar klein: 10+1
• Number of loose components: 2
• Materials: 10 thermal hardened cogs, 1 aluminium cog
• Gear ratios and weight:
• 11/25: 11-12-13-14-15-16-17-19-21-23-25
• 11/26: 11-12-13-14-15-16-17-19-21-23-26
• 11/28: 11-12-13-14-15-16-17-19-22-25-28
• 11/30: 11-12-13-14-15-17-19-21-24-27-30

Assembly

Special tools for mounting
To mount this cassette you need specific tools. These can be found here. For a more detailed explanation and instructions on how to use these tools please refer to our blog on replacing a cassette.

Don't forget the assembly grease!
The lockring of your cassette can be well tightened, in some cases up to 40 Nm. To make removing the lockring in the future easier, we recommend lubricating it with a bit of assembly grease. You can find our selection of assembly greases here.

User tips

How often should I clean my bike? Regular cleaning ensures that your material lasts longer and that you can enjoy your cycling for longer. How often you need to clean depends on the weather conditions in which you ride. Do you cycle through all kinds of weather, or do you only go out when the sun is shining? It all affects the degree of wear and tear and some people will have to clean their bikes more often than others. Use the schedule below as a guide:

October to March:
• Clean every 200 km
• Rinse after every ride
• Dry and oil the chain after every ride
• Leave the bike to dry at room temperature

April to September:
• Clean every 300 km
• Rinse off after cycling in the rain
• Dry and oil the chain after polishing or rinsing
• Leave the bike to dry at room temperature

worth its money!

With me, this cassette has been going for over 5000km, and there is still very little wear visible. Indeed, it is also nice and quiet.

I'm delighted with the purchase, particularly the 30-tooth sprocket, which is a welcome addition in these times of recovery.

Lightweight, efficient cassette

- Tony 28 March 2017

This cassette is a one-piece design, with only the smallest sprocket being separable from the body. It is unbelievably light and stiff. The only downside is it is a little noisier than a conventional cassette.
