Shimano 105 R7000 SPD-SL Pedals

The Shimano 105 PD-R7000 pedals are beautiful and durable pedals for the road bike. The pedals have good stiffness, are not too heavy and the pedal body is made extra durable. These pedals are therefore ideal for the avid cyclist.

Stiff construction, faster cycling!
The pedal body of this 105 R7000 pedal is made of carbon composite. By using this material, Shimano has managed to create a pedal with high stiffnes. The pedal surface is also extra large and ergonomically designed, which improves the pedalling efficiency, allowing you to cycle faster with the same energy. In addition, the enlarged pedal body reduces the risk of sore feet during long cycle trips.
Aluminium plates are fitted on the contact points where the shoe plate touches the body. As a result, the pedal body wears down less quickly and you can enjoy this beautiful pedal for longer.

Double bearings in the axle
The pedal axle of this 105 R7000 pedal has double bearings. These bearings make the pedal run extra smoothly and reduce the amount of energy lost when pedalling.
The only downside to this construction is that the bearings are sealed less effectively than in an Ultegra R8000 pedal. If you cycle a lot in dry weather, this will not be a problem. However, if you cycle in wind and weather and also in wet conditions, the Ultegra R8000 pedal may be a better choice for you: this pedal has an extra seal for the bearings.
