This compound offers a huge amount of grip and a very long lifespan. According to Schwalbe, 62% longer than the equivalent PaceStar version in fact. Combine that to the tubeless setup option of the Rocket Ron Addix Speedgrip TL-Easy, and you're going to be enjoying these tyres for a long time to come without the nuisance of punctures. The open Rocket Ron tread design ensures any dirt is quickly thrown clear of the tyre, ensuring it keeps performing no matter what.
Addix Compound
The Addix compound has managed to crack the ordinary trade off between wear, rolling resistance, and grip. This is a dilemma which has occupied the cycling tyre industry for years. Normally, they’d have to sacrifice one of these traits to improve the others, but no longer. Schwalbe has raised the bar even further when it comes to performance and quality with Addix. Not just for XC-racing use, but for all mountain biking disciplines, which all have their own specific needs and demands. Addix Speedgrip
This type of compound has a light blue line running along the length of the tyre. The Speedgrip compound is by far the most versatile, and suitable for disciplines like XC, All-Mountain, and Trails. The durability has been improved by 62% over its predecessor, the PaceStar compound, and grip has been enhanced by 35%.
Tubeless Easy. Snakeskin
Schwalbe is a firm believer: tubeless is the tyre technology of the future. The Snakeskin fabric in the sidewall of the tyre makes the tubeless conversion for the mountain bike extremely easy, light and safe. At the same time the fabric provides the best protection against cuts in the sidewall. Snakeskin is combined with the PaceStar and Trailstar compounds.

Tubeless set up was easy as the tyre sits really well onto the rim. Grip is excellent for the cycling I do.

Good All Round Tyre

Grips well in most condition Very stable and predictable in corners. Not the easiest to install tubeless but holds well when on.

Almost impossible to get on and off

It's a good tyre, if you can get it on. I managed this at home in the dry, but on the trail I had a puncture and couldn't get the tyre back on without destroying my tube with the tyre levers... I've been cycling for a long long time and never had such a stubborn tyre. It's so bad in this respect that I'm going to switch from Schwalbe as I can't afford to be in this position on remote trails. Fortunately today it was only a three mile hike back to the car...

Almost impossible to get on and off
It's a good tyre, if you can get it on. I managed this at home in the dry, but on the trail I had a puncture and couldn't get the tyre back on without destroying my tube with the tyre levers...
