The Schwalbe Lugano II Endurance tyre is a real good tyre for someone who commutes or rides a lot in the city. The tyre is less so a real road bike tyre. This is mainly because of its extra reinforced tread and it being a wire bead tyre. This makes the tyre stronger and more durable. As a result, you lose a bit of weight and increased rolling resistance. The ideal tyre for your sportive bike, fixie or if you just don't do ride races on your road bike but want to go for good durability. The Schwalbe Lugano II Endurance outer tyre can therefore be used all-round for both sporty cyclists and cyclists who don't have to break any speed records.

Nothing wrong with that

I demand quite a lot from my bike (fixed-gear bike for the city) and therefore always opt for the slightly more expensive options. This to my complete satisfaction.

After several Schwalbe Lugano II tyres, now the Endurance version has been fitted. Indeed, the previous tyres rode well, but it always didn't last very long. The onset of twists, flat spots and worn tread was just too fast (approx. 1000km). Hopefully the Endurance vesion will combine the good features with more robustness. Otherwise, it's exit-Schwalbe as far as I'm concerned.
