Almost turns your MTB into a road bike

- Bob 28 April 2022

Rode Paris-Roubaix with these tyres on my MTB (dry conditions) and it went fine. Slightly more rolling resistance than a road bike tyre. On the cobbled sections, I had all my road bike friends behind me. Never had a puncture.

Perfect for the city

- Jeroen 29 July 2020

I save 1 kg in bike weight by putting these tyres on versus a marathon and marathon plus that used to be on them! Moreover, they have more grip on the road. However in town there are occasional parks or works where I then have less grip but I ride most of the time on the road where then rolling resistance is also very low with these tyres. So I am very satisfied with them. I haven't had a puncture yet either. I have only been riding it for 1 month. If I get a puncture I will switch back to my previous tyres. But I don't expect that because these still score reasonably well on puncture resistance. Too bad there is no reflective ring on them but I solve that with bars on the spokes that reflect. I use these tyres with schwalbe's lightweight inner tubes to save even more weight. The ridges on one tyre are missing but they are not needed for grip in wet conditions because aquaplaning cannot happen to cyclists. For this, the pressure between tyre and road is too high. This could only happen at a cycling speed of 200 km/h.

Pros & Cons

Fairly good puncture resistance
Low rolling resistance
Low weight
Very good grip on paved roads
Little grip on unpaved roads
No reflective tyre
Not as puncture-resistant as Marathon Plus
