Beware unsecure freehub!

- Mark, 7 October, 2019

Nice wheels and very pleased with them, just beware that the freehub and therefore cassette is only fully held in position when the wheel is secure in the frame. This makes maintenance easier but you can easily and accidentally remove your freehub and scatter your pawls and springs over the floor (a friend told me!). Braking fine in wet with Swisstop black prince pads at £30 for 4. Go on, buy them, wish i’d done so months before!

Pros & Cons

Black decals
Bullet proof Zipp reputation
Good rim depth 45mm works well in all conditions
Run nicely on flat
Freehub and cassette held in place by frame

Excellent value at keen price

- Christopher, 18 September, 2019

Excellent value at best price I could find. Speedy delivery, good build quality. Go like the wind. My first set of CCs and the difference is noticeable from the first push off. The difference in effort required and speed achievable if you have only had steel rims previously has to be experienced to be believed. Brilliant purchase

Breaks well with correct blocks

Fast and stiff all rounder

- Denis, 6 August, 2019

Have put just over the 1000km into these wheels. Upgrading from a set of 35mm entry level alloys I certainly notice a big improvement in average speeds on both training rides and in time trail races. Find theses wheels great for climbing and have had no issues on some rough rural roads.

Worth the price!

- John, 24 July, 2019

Only have them a couple of weeks, but so far so good. Very smooth acceleration and once up to speed the zipps just glide!
