Does what they need to do, even in wet weather

- Sem, 12 July, 2023

I won't be using any other brake pads. Prior to 5 days of cycling in the Dolomites, I bought these brake pads and they are top notch. Both in carry and wet weather they brake very well. This gives confidence when going downhill at speeds of 50 Km and more.

Pros & Cons

Braking like disc brakes
In wet weather, these brake pads also brake very well

These pads brake perfectly, even in the rain.

- René, 1 February, 2022

Break-in first, then the pads brake well. Supplied bolts are poor, hex key spins quickly without giving too much force on Shimano105. Tip: Use your old bolts from Shimano

Little braking power! Not for the mountains!

- Gideon, 27 July, 2020

Although my Shimano brake pads were still OK, I bought these pads for a trip to the Alps. That turned out to be a big mistake. At maximum brake force, the braking is still little. They hardly brake at all. In my opinion, these pads are totally unsuitable for the mountains, (life) threatening even. Fortunately, I took my old Shimano brake pads with me and put them back on. What a difference! An even bigger improvement than I thought.

Best Aluminium Specific Pads Available

- John, 12 June, 2016

Excellent compound - brilliant performance and good longevity, with the benefit of them not being too abrasive and wearing brake tracks on rims prematurely like cheap standard pads do. Only negative to mention is that the retaining bolts supplied with them are worthy of nothing but the bin, so simply re-use existing.
