A well built, but very hard saddle

- James, 28 November, 2016

I purchased this saddle as a more comfortable alternative to my current stock saddle that came with my Wabi classic, after reading great reviews. The saddle looks gorgeous, and is very well made, but i found it extremely hard and uncomfortable to sit on. When I took my old stock saddle off I weighed them both on the kitchen scales and my stock saddle was 20 grams lighter that this carbon saddle - so I returned due to it not really adding anything to my ride - in fact making my ride slightly more heavy and uncomfortable. I think this may be due to me being very light and not having the weight to apply enough pressure to the canvas/rubber hammock to make it give - so it felt rock hard. But the saddle is made from great materials and I would imagine would last lifetime without too much wear.

Right out of the top drawer

From the moment you open the box this saddle shows class. Lovely finish and very light. Once fitted I found it was beautifully comfortable and it echoed this sentiment on my longer Audax rides. Would highly recommend and I'm so pleased I made this purchase.

Good saddle needs careful adjustment though.

- Julian, 18 May, 2016

Immediate sense of firm comfort , thirty miles in the usual discomfort of a different shape for you muscles to atune to, so Needed to make a few slight adjustments forward and back to get the sweet spot right and had no numbness after ride. Approx 40 miles. First saddle I've had that comes close to my ideal thank you Mr Brooks.

Pros & Cons

Actually works to absorb vibration
Great comfortable water resistant saddle
Half sensible price
Shame not made in the UK
