Bell 4Forty MIPS

Pros & Cons

This is my first MIPs helmet so still getting used to the MIPS fit. Build quality is very good. Only reason I haven't given higher score is I find the front of the helmet that goes across your forehead gets very sweaty and has a tendency to push down onto my sunnies. I appreciate this is a very strong part of the helmet designed for safety but find it hot compared to other helmets I've had.

Pros & Cons

Nice helmet. It's a bit tricky to get the fit perfect so that the helmet sits in the same position whilst riding. Nice and comfortable of medium weight. The visor can be raised or lowered but essentially only has the the extreme positions. It's also easy for the visor to look crooked. Probably not the coolest for ventilation but as I swapped to eMTB at the same time it's much less of an issue and pushing the peak up helps direct more air in. Like the availability of replacement padding although couldn't find the correct matching colour but that's minor.

Good light helmet but I do still get a bit sweaty in it.

Fits perfectly on my head, comfortable and light. Just what you need from a helmet.
