Fine MTB shoe!
I waited until two rides in the forest to do my review. Downright fine shoes. I am a regular user of Bontrager MTB shoes with carbon soles, but these Sidi's are considerably better, with an almost equally hard sole. In fact, Bontrager is very narrow and the Sidi Trace 2 is available in a width size; the Mega. I very much regret that the spikes are not for sale, and cannot even be ordered from Mantel. While that is mentioned as 'optional'.
- finally a wide size!
- lots of spares for sale; durable!
- nice shoe to look at
- perfect fit (norm. size plus 1)
- very good adjustment through velcro
- heel section is narrow, tilts while walking
- twist closure is awkward due to flap
- when stretching you need two hands
