Wide rims for comfortable handling and stable handling.
Thanks to the butted spokes and tubeless set up, you won't easily get stranded with a breakdown.
The Carbon Care Wheel Loyalty program gives you extra security when your wheels get damaged.
The Rapid Drive 54 hub engages quickly, you feel immediate results from the power you deliver.
The Crossmax wheels are strong, reliable and use high-end technologies such as UST tubeless and an ID360 hub. This gives the wheels a very good value for money.
The hubs are well sealed against water, mud and dirt, reducing the need to replace bearings.
The Instant Drive 360 freewheel body has a 9-degree engagement, which means the wheelset is very responsive when you accelerate.
The UST tubeless system has a tight connection between rim and tyre. This makes the setup perfectly airtight and can even be made tubeless with an ordinary bike pump.
After registering the wheels on Mavic's website, the manufacturer's warranty is extended from 2 to 3 years.

Cons
Due to the wide rims, the total weight is slightly higher.
There are no conversion kits to Quick Release available for the Kovee Elite wheels.
The Crossmax wheels are relatively heavy for an XC wheelset (1937 grams, 29"). With a higher-end MTB wheelset, you can gain quite a bit of weight so you can bring them up to speed more easily.
The Mavic Crossmax is not available with Shimano MicroSpline fitting. However, an optional Mavic ID360 Shimano MicroSpline body is available.
The matte silver hubs have a unique look. Whether you like this colour is a personal matter.
