Description
The Hope Tech 4 E4 mtb disc brakes build on more than 25 years of experience in the design and manufacture of hydraulic braking systems. The braking force of the Hope Tech 4 has increased by around 30% compared to its predecessor, the Hope Tech 3 MTB brakes. The shape of the brake lever has been further improved in order to optimize comfort and control. The Hope Tech 4 uses a fully internal seal for less friction and the piston rotates on roller bearings, allowing the spring tension to be reduced.
The lower spring tension, in turn, provides lighter leverage, reducing rider fatigue and maintaining fine feel and modulation. The updated E4 caliper uses stainless steel pistons with a special insert for smoother movement and reduced maintenance, while still being able to handle high temperatures without heat transfer during extreme use. The position of the brake levers can be adjusted to personal preference, as they are adjustable at a 30° degree angle.
