Description
With the Zipp 303 Firecrest Tubeless Rim Brake, Zipp has put a versatile wheelset on the market: from smooth cycle paths to cobbled roads, from flat polder roads to hills, from asphalt to gravel; the Zipp 303 Firecrest Tubeless Rim Brake feels at home everywhere.
Despite their height of 45 mm, the Zipp 303s weigh only 1530 grams. The tubeless rim has an internal rim width of 19 mm. In combination with a tubeless outer tyre at a lower tyre pressure, this ensures low rolling resistance, higher puncture resistance, better grip and more comfort. It is possible to mount tyres from 25 mm to 50 mm. The Zipp ZR1 hubs, developed in Germany, are the focal point of the 303 Firecrest Tubeless Rim Brake wheels. These hubs roll extremely smoothly, have well-sealed industrial bearings and engage quickly thanks to a 6-pawl body with 66 engagement points. The rims and hub are held in place by reliable and aerodynamic Sapim CX-Sprint J-bend spokes.
TSE (Total System Efficiency Technology)
Zipp has only one thing in mind with Total System Efficiency Technology: more speed! The innovative rim lay-up ensures lower air resistance, less rolling resistance, lower weight, less vibration and increased durability.
Tubeless ready
The Zipp Tubeless Ready rim makes it possible to ride without an inner tube and with lower tyre pressure. The result is a larger contact patch with the ground for more grip and manoeuvrability on descents and when riding in wet conditions. In addition, comfort is increased and rolling resistance reduced by riding with a tubeless setup.
ShowStopper
This exclusive Zipp technology results in better modulation and increased braking power in both wet and dry weather. ShowStopper is a combination of a molded-in texture with silicon carbide particles in the resin surface. It increases the surface roughness of the brake edge, providing the rider with more consistent and powerful braking.
ABLC SawTooth
The Advanced Boundary Layer Control design consists of Zipp's signature golf ball structure, which allows the airflow to be directed along the surface of the rim for optimum aerodynamics. It also improves stability for greater comfort.
RollingRoad Test Protocol
Zipp continues to optimise its wheels in the wind tunnel and through computer simulation. However, Zipp realizes that the 'real world' is the best environment in which to test a wheel. Combined together, this is Zipp's RollingRoad Test Protocol, which has resulted in an even more convex rim that becomes one with the tyre. This gives you even more stability and less air resistance, making it easier to keep your bike up to speed while losing less energy. Because the rim is wider, you can mount even wider tyres. With a larger tyre volume and lower tyre pressure, vibration is reduced, resulting in less fatigue on long rides.
Zipp ZR1 hubs
At the heart of these Zipp wheels is a durable hub set, designed in Germany: the Zipp ZR1. This hub features well-sealed industrial bearings with extremely low rolling resistance. The rear hub has a body with 66 points of engagement for a quicker response when you start pedaling.
Zipp Lifetime Warranty
The Zipp Lifetime Warranty gives you a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects, thus giving you ultimate security! The warranty becomes active after registration of your wheel(s) with Zipp and is non-transferable.

Mounting a cassette on a wheel is easy if you have the right tools. When you buy a cassette remover with a Shimano fit, you can mount both the Shimano and the Sram cassette on your rear wheel. If you have a 9/10-speed cassette, first slide the spacer over the body. Then you place the cassette on the body. This can only be done one way because of the fit of the body. Finally you turn the washer straight on by hand and tighten it with the chain whip. Tight is the rule, but if you want you can also do this with a torque wrench.

• For 9/10-speed, do not forget to mount the spacer first before mounting the cassette
• Make sure the rim tape or tubeless tape lies snugly in the rim

Great wheel set I am impressed with the braking pretty quiet for carbon wheels and very positive. The tubless fit was an easy process ( conti 5000) 10/10
