The Trek Checkpoint SL 5 is an attractively designed and complete gravel bike.
Comfort and control
The versatile carbon frame brings high comfort, control and stability together for a light and fast ride on this Trek Checkpoint SL 5. The carbon frame of the Trek Checkpoint SL 5 includes the IsoSpeed Decoupler. While the seat stay is very stiff laterally, it provides some flexibility vertically, which makes for particularly great comfort. Difficult trails with lots of tree roots or long recreational rides become much easier. The many mounting points allow you to bring water bottles and add frame bags as well as a luggage rack. All of this makes this a very versatile gravel bike indeed.
High-quality groupset
The drivetrain on the Checkpoint SL 5 is a great one. The gravel-specific Shimano GRX groupset ensures excellent shifting performance even in tough conditions. Moreover, with the 46/30 x 11-34T cassette you will always ride in the right gears both on- and off-road. The hydraulic disc brakes provide high braking power and are easy to modulate. The Bontrager GR1 tyres provide plenty of grip in all conditions, apart from muddy ones, and have a pleasantly low rolling resistance. Of course, they are tubeless ready.
