Description
Description
The brakes were designed using Shimano's Ice technology, which helps to prevent the brakes overheating and to retain high braking power no matter how long the descent or how high the temperature!
The narrow clamp band is compatible with the I-Spec B system and can therefore be used with Shimano's Saint shift levers as well as other Shimano gear levers. These brakes are pre-bled so you can go out and hit the trails immediately after installing them!
Technology
I-Spec B system for full adjustabilityThese Shimano Saint M820 disc brakes can be fully adjusted to your preferences. They feature Shimano's I-Spec B mounting system, which allows you to put the brake and gear levers in your preferred positions. Another advantage is that you only need one clamp band to mount the gear and brake levers. Moreover, there are options on the brake lever to customise the distance between the brake lever and the handlebars.
Servo Wave technology for improved modulation
The Shimano Servo Wave technology in these Saint M820 brakes makes the brakes travel a relatively long distance in the first stage of the braking movement, leaving plenty of room for modulation and a refined brake feel in the second stage of the brake lever retraction. This not only increases braking power, but also allows for high precision braking!
Ergonomic non-slip grip with reach adjust
The ergonomically designed brake lever features a reach adjust mechanism. The distance between the handlebar grip and the lever can be adjusted to your preference, so the brake lever is never too far away for you!
Compatibility
Adapters for brake calipersIf you switch to a different brand of disc brakes or a different size of disc brake rotors, you will need a specific adapter between the frame and the caliper.
These adapters can be found here.

Super brake, fast delivery
Pros & Cons
4 / 5
Fine braking power but very expensive
in itself fine, especially if you have a light bike . For my speed pedelec, the braking power is sufficient but a longer lever would certainly have been welcome. No idea why shimano puts short levers on it, must be a fad. I use it in combination with 203mm disc, front wheel can be blocked with 2 fingers, with 1 finger it also just works but you have to squeeze hard. Similar to magura MT4-e (2017 model) in terms of braking power (older MT4 have significantly higher braking power in my experience than the newer models). For downhill I would personally like harder braking but probably I have a bit unrealistic requirements.....
