Description
Description
So with these Shimano SLX Trail M7120 brakes, you'll have even more fun on the trails!
Technology
I-Spec EV system for full adjustabilityThese Shimano SLX M7120 disc brakes can be fully adjusted to your preferences. They feature Shimano's I-Spec EV mounting system, which allows you to put the brake and gear levers in your preferred positions. Another advantage is that you only need one clamp to mount the gear and brake levers. Moreover, there are options on the brake lever to customise the distance between the brake lever and the handlebars.
Servo Wave technology for improved modulation
The Shimano Servo Wave technology in these SLX M7120 brakes makes the brakes travel a relatively long distance in the first stage of the braking movement, leaving plenty of room for modulation and a refined brake feel in the second stage of the brake lever retraction. This not only increases braking power, but also allows for high precision braking!
Compatibility
Adapters for brake calipersIf you switch to a different brand of disc brakes or a different size of disc brake rotors, you will need a specific adapter between the frame and the caliper.
These adapters can be found here.

Great upgrade for my bike
Had these slx m7120 mounted on the front because my original tektro set sucked. Well thought and figured out, the slx m7120 front with 203 mm disc and slx m7100, rear with 180 mm disc. All in all a top improvement it sits on a heavier emtb and after several rides really super satisfied brakes top and hard (if needed) and super doseable never have fear of locking. Ordering from mantel is also top, ordered day after neatly delivered.

Good braking performance, at a fair price.
I bought this brake to replace my broken SRAM Guide RS and have to say that it does a much better job. It brakes on the spot without you having to pump the lever or the like, and it is relatively affordable compared to other products with similar performance. A very good brake for enduro and trail use. I would buy it again just like this.
Pros & Cons

Excellent Brake, but wandering bite point can be unnerving.
Great power and modulation, excellent value for money. I really love the lever shape and feel of these brakes and its safe to say you get a lot more for your money with Shimano vs Sram. The only problem I have noticed is the wandering bite point which sometimes feels like your brake has suddenly lost all fluid, but you just have to pull the lever further. I hear this is a common complaint from Shimano brakes but not one they've ever admitted to.
