Full package
This Scott Scale 920 is a hardtail mountain bike that is made to go fast. In addition to its good looks with timeless colours, this Scott has great parts. A winning combination of a stiff and light progressive carbon frame and ditto Fox fork. The bike is all set to help you win races, on your mountain bike tours or to set a new PR on the local mountain bike trail!
In short, the perfect mountain bike to set new records on your favourite trails. Are you ready for the latest Scott Scale 920?
The new Scott Scale RC Team has a typical cross country look inspired by Scott Racing MTB team models. With a lazy headtube angle and short stem, it steers razor sharp but is also more controllable on steep descents. The low handlebars and relatively long top tube make for a speed focussed position on the bike. For years, 29-inch wheels have been the most popular choice for a new mountain bike. These larger wheels roll effortlessly over all kinds of obstacles. Completing the picture is Schwalbe's Racing Ray front tyre and Racing Ralph rear tyre. The Ray has plenty of grip, making it ideal for steering on all kinds of surfaces. The Ralph is a bit smoother and helps you accelerate quickly.
Sturdy drivetrain
The Sram GX Eagle 12 speed drivetrain is accurate and fast. With a 1x12 drivetrain, a front derailleur is done away with. This makes the bike lighter and shifting super intuitive. In fact, you only have one shifter, so you only shift up or down. Due to the enormous range of the 10-52 tooth cassette, you won't run out of gears. The Sram NX Eagle shifters detract a bit from the overall look. These are made of plastic, which is just a little less attractive than the GX Eagle variant made of aluminum.
Fox 32 StepCast fork
The Fox 32 StepCast Float Performance Air Grip 3 fork does what it stands for. It delivers excellent performance in all conditions. Curvy singletracks and the occasional big jump are handled smoothly. The striking StepCast design gives a tough look and the fork has three different settings which you can control from the handlebars: Fixed for sprinting or for asphalt, medium for gravel trails and open for the real singletracks and heavy work.
