Worked well for a year - is now very unreliable!

After 1 year of working well it now has a mind of it's own. I've changed the battery and issues still persist. It used to take 5-20kms before it would settle and give a good consist reading till the end of the ride. It is now completely intermittent, dropping off at very random points. Will be going back to Garmin, but that HRM strap broke last year!
