I will not buy again.

- Asier, 27 July, 2022

i have been cheated on the purchase of a pair of mavic crossmax sl wheels. they refunded my money claiming logistical problems, and then i could see them again on sale 70 euros more expensive. that's misleading advertising, gentlemen.

Top (XC) tyres !

- Eric, 5 January, 2022

Tried many tyres, finally decided on the Ardent in 2.25, initially I wanted to go for the 2.4 for the front wheel, but decided against it because of the width. I now prefer a tyre that cuts through any mud rather than sliding or floating, which is what a wider tyre does (sooner). In addition, a 2.25 (now) steers a bit nicer, and after a few rides I was already convinced that I really like these tyres because they are stable, supple and comfortable because, despite EXO, they are not stiff/hard like the Conti Raceking Protection. Rolling resistance on hard surfaces is less (they are not meant for that), but as soon as you get into the woods, you don't notice it anymore. This tyre has a lot of grip, especially when cornering. In my opinion, it somehow steers a lot nicer/better/sharper than what I used to ride with, which is partly why I immediately ordered a second one for the rear = a very nice combi! With mud it slides a bit (which tyre doesn't) but it is very controllable. They are very easy to make tubeless using a normal foot pump, with 60 ml of latex inside after a few strokes, they pop nicely in the rims and maintain pressure well. Ride them with 1.5 front, 1.7 rear with a personal weight of 95 kg, total system weight +/- 105kg. Ps, I ordered the skinwall version here but I think I got the tanwall version these are a bit darker/browner I believe, nothing wrong with that as I like these better.

Beautiful band, note colour difference

- Jesse, 20 October, 2021

Ordered two Skinwall tyres from Maxxis and received 2 different colours. After contacting customer service 1 tyre was exchanged and now I have 2 the same, so good help. It would have been nicer if I could choose between these 2 colours when ordering. So it's not a small shade difference, but brown or beige.

Pros & Cons

Beautiful design

Fine tyre with good tread

- Léon, 13 February, 2021

I was looking for a nice tubeless tyre with good tread that doesn't have too much rolling resistance, and I found it! I took a 2.40 tyre at the front and a 2.25 at the back. Due to the harder rubber on the tread, the Maxxis Ardent (considering the amount of tread) has little rolling resistance. In turn, the softer rubber on the side ensures good grip. In addition, the skinwall tyre looks great paired with my bike. I have so far used the tyre in the dunes with dry weather, with snow and during rainy/muddy conditions. After all the rides, I am still very happy with my choice.

Pros & Cons

Easy to make tubeless
Grip
Low rolling resistance for a high-profile tyre
Nice

Nice tyre with plenty of grip.

- Raymond, 27 January, 2021

Nice tyre with excellent grip on wet surfaces, easy to make tubeless and do not need to be re-inflated after 3 weeks. Fitted both front and rear, slightly more resistance than the Maxxis IKON but so much more grip in corners.

Pros & Cons

Easy to make tubeless
High grip in wet conditions
Sharp price
Slightly higher rolling resistance
