With no experience of tubeless technology, I mounted these wheels the old-fashioned way with an inner tube and a tubeless tyre that was tube-compatible. I had to do the assembly 3 times to get the tyre hump to disappear. You have to slam the tyre bead into the groove provided for this purpose. Once I understood that, no problem but with a compressor! The wheels are lively, very light, quiet and really very versatile. I had to buy a Dura ace cassette: compulsory extra cost but what a weight saving :) (opinion of a former mavic cosmic carbon 2005 owner who took the bike back 2 years ago)
