Mechanical rim brakes provide less braking force than disc brakes, especially in wet conditions.
The 25 mm maximum tyre width somewhat limits tyre choice.
Rim brakes deliver decent braking action, however, hydraulic disc brakes would take it up a notch.
Mechanical disc brakes brake well, but do have to be adjusted somewhat more often than hydraulic disc brakes.
Due to the wide shifting range, steps between gears can feel large.
