The core of this Lapierre road bike is the carbon frame. Because this carbon is very light, the bike has excellent handling characteristics. The frame is designed with comfort in mind, so you can easily handle long rides in the saddle. For that extra bit of comfort a carbon front fork has been added, which handles bumps in the road surface excellently. On top of that, you also have the option of fitting wide tyres. This gives you extra grip and even the opportunity to cycle on unpaved roads.

Comfortable and very well-balanced bike

I chose this bike because the geometry is not stocky and good components are fitted. I have now done several rides on it and am very happy with it. The bike is comfortable, stable and robust. Cycling over gravel paths on the Veluwe is fine, although it is not a gravel bike. Cycling in a relaxed position is certainly possible but this bike especially comes into its own during long rides. Salesman Mantel in Utrecht gave incorrect advice regarding frame geometry Lapierre Xelius. If I had followed the advice, I would have bought a bike unsuitable for me. Delivery, communication and service Mantel otherwise fine.
