The Castelli Prima is a women-specific short which is ideal for longer bike rides on beautiful summer days. Despite being Castelli's entry level model, this short demonstrates that nothing is compromised in terms of comfort and performance. The Pro Dry Soft Lycra fabric gives the Prima a lovely matte finish and makes it feel cool to the skin. The fabric has excellent breathability to keep your body temperature constant and comfortable. The anatomic construction gives this short a perfect, snug fit on the body.
What the Castelli Prima lacks, is bib straps. Eventually, this may cause the short to fall down a bit from the waist. It is very unlikely that the same thing will happen at the leg ends because both have a Giro3 flat leg gripper. These grippers are highly elastic and have good grip. Castelli has also added a safety feature in the form of reflective elements on the back of the legs, which help to make you more visible in dark conditions. The icing on the cake for this Prima cycling short is the KISS Air2 chamois, which ensures that you can spend long hours in the saddle and continue to feel comfortable.
