Description
The completely waterproof Gore Tex Active membrane offers excellent protection against rainstorms. The seams are taped for extra protection against splashing water and mud. Also, the zip fastening is made of water-resistant material. Thanks to the water-repellent properties, the breathability is still exceptional. At warmer temperatures, the heat can be significantly transported. You stay warm and dry during rainfall.
The ultra-innovative Gore Tex material is very light and very easy to fold. With a weight of 108 grams, this is the world's lightest Gore Tex raincoat ever made! Folded up, this rain jacket fits in half a rear pocket. This leaves enough room for other stuff in your rear pockets.

Great Jacket
Worn this jacket in heavy rain, kept me warm and dry and the shake dry element was really good. Only thing I think it could do with is a storage/carry bag especially for the price

Great jacket; fits differently than other Castelli
Shakedry is great - users know. I had no chance to use it in the rain but this is my second shakedry jacket thus i would not expect surprise here. Might be useful for Castelli users: i am XL in Gabba, Alpha, jerseys (except XL Perfetto that is real sporty fit). Got this one in XL and it is surprisingly more relaxed than all my previous Castelli clothing. I can easily put it on Alpha jacket. Do not know how consistent sizing is - my piece is relaxed, that i like. Did not test flapping above 40km/h yet, below i ok.

Great bit of kit
Expensive but in my opinion worth it to stay dry without overheating. A good wind proof extra layer that easily fits in a jersey pocket as well. I am 6 feet 1 and 71kg and a large is a good fit.
