An ideal bike for learning to find balance
Cannondale always pays much attention to its frames as the heart of stable and easy to ride bikes. This is also true for this balance bike. The lightweight frame and strong welded seams make the Cannondale Trail Balance very stable. This helps your child to learn to balance better and faster, as a light balance bike is easier to control for the youngest ones. Nothing stands in the way of your child taking its first steps towards riding a bike on its own. And the fact that these first steps can be taken on a genuine Lefty really is the coolest thing!
The Cannondale Trail Balance has a stylish look that will appeal to both boys and girls, and is amazingly lightweight. This makes it a great balance bike for any child.
The frame is made using the SmartForm technology, with a focus on the thickness of the tubes: The tubes are thicker at stress points, and thin and light where they can be. For the front fork, Cannondale has developed a children's model of their well-known Lefty. This fork has the same good characteristics as a normal fork but is much lighter. This makes it just a little easier for your child to handle the balance bike, resulting in smoother balancing efforts. In total, the bike weighs a mere 4 kg.
Wheels & tyres
The Trail Balance has a 16-spoke lightweight aluminium wheel both front and rear. The wheels are fitted with 12 inch, 45 mm wide tyres. These wide tyres have a light profile to make the bike suitable for different surfaces without losing grip.
Other features
Cannondale has paid special attention to the grips and saddle, which are the contact points of the balance bike. The grips are shaped to fit small hands, while the thicker ends ensure that the hands cannot simply slide off the handlebars. The saddle has a slight slope at the front and back, reducing the chance of your child sliding off. Although learning to balance may well involve a fall now and then, Cannondale has done everything possible to make this balance bike as safe as possible.
