High performance MTB
This kids' bike for teens has an ideal combination of features. With a lightweight frame and a suspension fork, you can race along the trails quickly and smoothly. With this 26-inch mountain bike, you can keep up with the bigger MTBs.
On this Cannondale Trail 26 you can enjoy making every off-road ride a great adventure.
Cannondale never wants to compromise on ride characteristics. That's why their SmartForm C2 technology has been introduced. This makes the material thickness smaller where possible and thicker where necessary. Because these transitions are gradual, stiffness is guaranteed and stress points are spared. Steering and acceleration are therefore high level with this Trail 26. The wide tyre cushion bumps well, but of course most cushioning comes from the suspension fork. It has a suspension travel of 63 mm. Because the tyres have studs, you will have a good grip on the dirt with this children's bike.
Shifters & brakes
On their smaller bikes, Cannondale actually opts for a rotary mechanism for shifting gears by default. This makes shifting a lot more intuitive, allowing for more concentration on the challenging terrain. The 8-speed Shimano Tourney rear derailleur gives you a wide gear range, although for the toughest trails you're just a bit short. When riding among the trees, you like to have good brakes at your disposal. With mechanical disc brakes, you can be sure of plenty of stopping power.

The Cannondale Trail 26 is a true MTB. That also means that there is no rich equipment for everyday use. If your child still wants to take the daily rides to school or sports with this bike, a good lighting kit, chain lock and a backpack are recommended. However, keep in mind that the wheels can easily be removed from the bike. We therefore do not recommend leaving it unattended.
