The BMC Twostroke AL Five is a cutting-edge aluminium mountain bike with a very advanced geometry especially for a hardtail.
Made for climbing as well as descending
This BMC Twostroke AL Five is an aluminium hardtail mountain bike made for racing. With its tough, fast looks and great equipment, you can blast up and down with it. All this hardtail mountain bike needs is your legs to ride it!
If you are looking for a fast and highly responsive aluminium hardtail mountain bike to attack the local trails with, the BMC Twostroke AL Five is the perfect bike for you.
The core of the BMC Twostroke AL Five is its lightweight aluminium frame with the same angles as its carbon counterpart. With an exceptional 67-degree headtube angle for a hardtail and the steep 75-degree saddle angle, technical courses become even more fun to ride; both up and down. Together with the short stem and nice wide handlebars, you maintain full control on tricky descents and twisty sections. The Suntour XCM fork ensures control.
Comfortable
But besides being stiff and efficient for pounding hard uphill, the Twostroke AL Five is also pretty comfortable for an aluminium hardtail. This is achieved because of the low frame. As a result, some flex is present from the seatpost tube, making the Twostroke feel a lot more comfortable than most aluminium hardtails.
Solid assembly
BMC has chosen to complete the Twostroke AL Five with smartly chosen components. With a wide range thanks to the 11-46 cassette, it is possible to ride light enough on a steep climb and to run a large gear at high speed. To control all this speed, they fitted easy-to-dose brakes from Shimano.
The XCD rims are connected via 32 spokes to reliable Shimano hubs. This makes the wheels sturdy and reliable. Thanks to the 23mm wide rims, the overall weight is not too high for a wheel set in this class. The Maxxis Rekon Race surrounding them work well with the rims and offer a great mix of low rolling resistance and grip.
