Batavus’ attempt to make the perfect city bike: the Batavus Fonk 3. It is an attempt which has turned out miraculously well.
Agile, stable and pleasant
A light, manoeuvrable and stable frame is the heart of this bike. The fixed front fork makes its handling very pleasant and direct. You will feel comfortable on this city bike with its upright sitting position.
Low maintenance parts
With a bike you use every day you don't want to be at the bike repair shop too often. With this in mind, Batavus uses low-maintenance parts for this city bike. With the reliable 3-speed hub gear you will continue to cycle smoothly. The roller brakes will work in any circumstances, ensuring that you will come to a smooth standstill, even though they are less powerful than hydraulic disc brakes, for example. And the hub dynamo that powers the lights is also low-maintenance.
As a city bike the Batavus Fonk 3 is impressive on all fronts, and it is also quite suitable for use as a trekking bike for longer rides. So, if you choose the Fonk 3 you will not regret it.

De rollerbrakes werken onder alle omstandigheden en zorgen dat je vlot stilstaat, ondanks dat ze minder krachtig zijn dan bijvoorbeeld hydraulische schijfremmen. De naafdynamo, die de verlichting van stroom voorziet, is ook onderhoudsarm.
