Safe and alert during exercise
It's always a trade-off: either listen to music during exercise or leave your earphones at home to be able to hear the traffic around you. With the AfterShokz Air, you don't have to make this choice. Bone Conduction ear pieces do not go directly into your ear canal and bypass your ear drums completely. There is no traditional speaker that you place in your ear. Instead, there is a component at the ends of the headphones that transmits vibrations via your cheekbones. These are sent to the auditory nerves and then to the brain. Your brain receives them as ordinary sounds. The best characteristic of this technology is that your ear canal and ear drums are bypassed to avoid any risk of damage to your hearing and to allow you to always be aware of ambient sound directly through your ears. This makes bone conduction headphones very suitable for use in outdoor sports.
Lightweight titanium and flexible silicone material
Thanks to the super soft silicone material and flexible titanium frame, you will hardly feel the AfterShokz Air on your skin. The flexible titanium frame ensures a perfect fit even during a long workout.
Noise-cancelling microphone
Of course, these Bluetooth headphones also have a microphone. In fact, the Air has two! Both use noise-cancelling technology, eliminating ambient sounds such as wind noise and making you sound great when you're talking to someone even while riding your bike!

Gamechanger fürs Musikhören auf dem Fahrrad
Die Aftershoks Trekz Air sind für mich die Kopfhörer der Wahl wenn es um das Fahrradfahren geht. Mit der Zielsetzung, die Umgebung und ihre Geräusche wahrzunehmen sind sie tatsächlich ideal, da sie die Ohren komplett frei lassen. Je nach gewählter Lautstärke nimmt man dann wirklich alles wahr. Die Qualität der Musik ist naturgemäß keine audiophile Offenbarung, es fehlen klar die Bässe. Aber darum geht es auch gar nicht. Die Musik (oder Podcasts) werden in guter Qualität übertragen, die zum Hören während des Fahrens absolut ausreichend ist. Selbst bei Fahrtwind ist alles bei ca. 50 % Lautstärke (iPhone) gut zu hören. Der Tragekomfort ist gut. Der Bügel sitzt unter dem Helm und stört nicht. Ich habe keinen Druck auf dem Kopf durch die Kopfhörer. Als Brillenträger (bzw. mit der Fahrradbrille) findet man auch relativ schnell eine Anordnung, bei der nichts drückt (Bügel auf dem Aftershokz ausitzend). Habe mittlerweile ein zweites Paar fürs Büro beschafft, um störende Kollegen auszublenden :-)
