Rotor 2InPower MAS – A First at Mantel!

The 2InPower made by the Spanish manufacturer Rotor has been available for a while now, but we felt they didn’t quite offer all the functionality Rotor has become known for. We kept thinking about it at Mantel, until we had an idea: we asked Rotor to produce several 2InPower units, but with their proprietary MAS spider instead!

A First!

The success of the double-sided Rotor 2InPower powermeters made the development of a 2InPower MAS version inevitable. We at Mantel didn’t really feel like waiting and wanted our customers to have access to a Rotor 2InPower MAS, today. Eventually, the Rotor 2InPower MAS will become available to everyone, but for now: we have the privilege of having the ver first!

MAS?

MAS is more. Not just in Spanish, but the abbreviation too: Micro Adjustment Spider. This technology allows you to set your Q-rings just the way you want them, by offering you a 0.5 offset on every OCP position. The Rotor 2InPower MAS is available with a 110 mm BCD and either 172.5 or 175 mm crank arms. The 2InPower measures your power output 200 times per second making data on cadence, power distribution between your left and right leg, and pedaling efficiency available to you. The Rotor 2InPower has been rigorously tested by Team Dimension-Data, with fantastic results: over 250.000 trouble-free kilometres were logged by their riders during the first 4 months of 2016.

I'm a recreational rider who's more into computers and gadgets than the fast times they're capable of recording. I've owned the same Trek road bike for the last 10 years, but I've gained an interest in single-speed bikes. I love to ride with friends, but don't feel the constant need to be the fastest of the bunch. At Mantel, I work as a productmanager for the Bike Accessories in our range.
