Effetto Mariposa Végétalex

Most sealants use environmentally harmful substances, such as microplastics, (synthetic) rubbers and aramid fibres, to create the leak-proof effect. At Effetto Mariposa they decided to invest in a sealant that would not harm the environment. After two years of development, they arrived at the Végétalex. The Végétalex is an environmentally friendly sealant made from vegetable ingredients, including olive pits and xanthan gum. All ingredients are therefore biodegradable and not harmful to the environment, so you won't leave any bad substances behind even if you spill it in the forest.

Sustainable and easy to use
It can seal holes up to 5mm, and Effetto Mariposa claims it will last a whole cycling season (about 6 months). In worst-case situations, you can get at least 3 months of sealant. For the right amount per tyre, it is possible to refer to the handy iCaffetalex app. With this app, you can easily determine the right amount of sealant per tyre. Add about 20% to the advice of the iCaffetalex app, and you will know exactly how much Végétalex you need.

This litre bottle comes with a hose for easy insertion of the sealant. It also has a scale on the side of the bottle, so you can easily read off the right amount.

Easy to keep clean
If you have experience with tubeless, you know how messy fitting can be. Luckily it is easy to clean with a little soap and water, even when it has dried. This is because there are no pigments or quickly solidifying plastics used in Végétalex.

Compatibilité

Effetto Mariposa Végétalex can be used with CO2 cartridges. This will not reduce the effectiveness of the sealant.

Conseils d'utilisation

• Végétalex will last for approximately 2 years after opening the bottle, provided it is well sealed, not in direct sunlight and stored between -15 and 30 degrees Celsius.
• Shake well before use!
• With the iCaffetalex app, you can easily determine how much sealant you need for your tyres. Follow this advice with an addition of approximately 20%.
• If extra puncture protection is required, for example on rough terrain, then it is recommended to use approximately 30 ml more than the recommended amount of sealant.

As with all sealants, oxidation of aluminium rims may occur (due to water content) if the metal surface of the rim is not painted, protected or covered with tubeless rim tape.
