Description
Description
The SRAM PG-1130 11-42 cassette comes from the SRAM NX groupset. The SRAM PG-1130 11-42 cassette is suitable for standard Shimano and SRAM bodies. So, with this cassette you don't need an XD body like you normally do with more expensive SRAM casettes. The SRAM PG-1130 11-42 cassette has a wide range and is ideal for use with a single front chainring. This cassette is also suitable for most cyclocross and road bikes fitted with 1 x SRAM drivetrains.
Large range for all terrain
The Powerglide II technology ensures quiet, smooth shifting from the smallest, 11t cog all the way up to the biggest, 42t cog. The range of this cassette is particularly wide - between 11t and 42t there's something for every terrain and circumstance, from getting up speed on flat sections to elevation gain on steep climbs.
Powerglide™ cog technology means that SRAM began the creation process of this cassette with raw 7075-T6 aluminium. The cogs were then roughly shaped using a press, and the CNC machined into a precise shifting unit. The result is a design that cannot be achieved with CNC alone. The teeth on the cogs are stronger because of the original pressing, for superior durability. The stainless steel pick-up pin gives this cassette a long life and smooth shifting performance.
Weight: 538 grams
Gear: 11, 13, 15, 17, 19, 22, 25, 28, 32, 36, 42
To mount this cassette you need specific tools. These can be found here. For a more detailed explanation and instructions on how to use these tools please refer to our blog on replacing a cassette.
Don't forget the assembly grease!
The lockring of your cassette can be well tightened, in some cases up to 40 Nm. To make removing the lockring in the future easier, we recommend lubricating it with a bit of assembly grease. You can find our selection of assembly greases here.

Conseils d'utilisation
How often should I wash my bike? Regular washing will keep your bike in good condition. It ensures that the parts on your bike last longer so that you'll be able to enjoy it longer. How often you should wash your bike is largely dependent on what sort of weather conditions you ride in. Are you always out cycling, come rain or shine? Or are you strictly a fair-weather cyclist? It all has an influence on the degree of wear on bike parts, and some of us have to wash our bikes more regularly than others. Refer to the plan below as a general guideline:October to March:
• Wash every 200 km
• Rinse after every ride
• Dry and lube the chain after every ride
• Let the bike dry at room temperature
April to September:
• Wash every 300 km
• Rinse after a ride in the rain
• Dry and lube the chain after rinsing or washing
• Let the bike dry at room temperature
