With the Scott Contessa Scale you get yourself a very fast mountain bike that is perfect to beat the competition.
Ready for adventurous rides
With the Scale 920 you are ready for all your off-road adventures. A carbon frame as well as quality suspension and parts; this is a very complete mountain bike for great fun on the trails.
Want to impress and overtake other riders? You can absolutely do so with your Scott Contessa Scale 920, which not only looks awesome but is also super fast! With its strong Syncros parts, RockShox fork and carbon frame, it is a very efficient mountain bike that will have you riding at the head of the pack in no time at all!
The Scott Contessa Scale 920 has a carbon frame with internal cable routing for protection against rain and dirt and, therefore, a longer life. The carbon frame is very light and stiff, which makes for excellent handling. As comfort is very important in off-road riding, Scott has selected a front fork that handles bumps and potholes in the terrain well. As for suspension, you don't need the same degree of suspension everywhere; on asphalt, for example, it is much more efficient to ride without it. This is why the fork has a lock-out, which you can use to switch the suspension off while riding. Moreover, as this bike is intended for women Scott has fitted a women-specific saddle for comfortable short- and long-distance riding.
SRAM shift system
For gear shifting, this Contessa Scale MTB has the SRAM SX/NX group, which is used in many mountain bikes and performs well. With 12 gears and an 11-50 cassette, the bike has a large gearing range, so if you want to beat your cycling friends on a steep climb, you certainly can! For braking, you have Shimano hydraulic disc brakes which deliver high braking power in good as well as bad conditions. They are also easy to modulate, allowing you to stay in control even on the steep descents.
