Briefly hesitated to buy it due to some negative reviews. Have since used it to shorten a new chain and if you center the pin in the middle of the link it comes out easily. Of course you have to use a little more force than the larger pliers. All in all satisfied for occasional use, especially for this price!

This tool is more for troubleshooting (saddle bag) than for working in a workshop.
I used it to mount my chain that I bought on the site, but for the workshop I will invest in a larger model that fits better in the hand.
