Versatile city bike
The basis of the Gazelle Chamonix S8 is a lightweight aluminum frame. This gives direct steering and sporty riding characteristics. The cables are concealed as much as possible and the welds are barely visible. This makes this city bike look very neat. With a relaxed riding position, this bike is comfortable enough to cycle quite a distance, despite the lack of suspension. This makes the Chamonix S8 suitable as a fast touring bike, for commuting, but also just as a luxury city bike.
High-quality components
Nowadays, the use of a belt drive, or belt-drive, is starting to become more and more normal, especially on high-quality bikes. The Gates CDN belt provides smooth and efficient power transmission. Furthermore, it is quieter and more durable than a chain. You also have access to an 8-speed hub gear. This allows you to ride away quickly at traffic lights as well as at a brisk pace. The hydraulic rim brakes provide plenty of braking power and are easy to dose. However, the disadvantage of rim brakes is that they do not perform as well in bad weather. With this drivetrain, however, you can cover many miles without any problems.
Completely decked out
The headlight on this touring bike is connected to the hub dynamo, while the rear light has batteries. Although you will need to replace those batteries from time to time, this is otherwise a very reliable and powerful lighting set. Of course, this city bike is very well equipped. Think of a stable carrier with straps, mudguard set, bell and lock. With the Gazelle Chamonix S8 you can start your first beautiful rides right away.
