Description
Cycling is always a great experience with the Flyer Upstreet 5 7.03. The city, commuting and recreational rides with dirt roads - this all-round electric bike can handle it all.
Sporty but comfortable
The geometry of the Upstreet 5 7.03 ensures an active sitting position. In combination with the strong engine, this is a sporty electric bicycle. Because this e-bike is equipped with a suspension fork and extremely wide tyres, this is still a nice, comfortable touring bike.
The Flyer Upstreet 5 7.03 is a high-quality bike in every way. A powerful engine, strong brakes and fine handling characteristics make this a winner among e-bikes.
The most striking feature of this e-bike is the motor, which is the very strong Panasonic GX Ultimate motor, which has no less than 65Nm of torque. With this you not only fly through the city, but a steep hill is suddenly no longer a problem. The rear wheel is driven by a Gates CDX belt drive. In addition to being maintenance-free and quiet, the belt drive is also efficient. A dirty and poorly adjusted chain causes loss of power, a belt drive does not suffer from this problem. This powerful and efficient drive is linked to an 8-speed gear hub. As a result, this electric bicycle has enough different gears to both traverse city traffic and to handle a considerable touring ride on difficult terrain.
Great handling and braking
Flyer's electric bicycles are often praised for their fine handling characteristics. This is also the case with the Upstreet 5 7.03 electric bicycle. The center of gravity is central, because both the mid-engine and the battery are placed in the middle of the bicycle. This, in combination with the well thought-out geometry of the frame, makes for great handling. The hydraulic Shimano Deore disc brakes also provide a lot of stopping power. The large amount of power is therefore offset by good handling and great braking performance.
Well equipped
From a high-quality bike like this you can of course expect that it is well equipped. This is certainly the case. The strong lighting ensures that you are always visible. Furthermore, safety is guaranteed by the bell that is fitted as standard. With a strong lock you can also store this bike safely.
If possible, charge your battery at room temperature. If it is freezing cold, we recommend taking the battery indoors.
Do not store the battery empty. If you do not plan to use your e-bike for a longer period of time, we recommend that you store the battery at around 60% fill level at room temperature. Recharge the battery from time to time (once a month) to ensure battery life.
Brake maintenance
We recommend cleaning the hydraulic disc brakes as little as possible, because contamination with grease and cleaning agents can have a negative effect on the braking properties. If you want to clean the brake discs, we recommend doing this with a dry paper towel. Try not to touch the brake discs with your fingers.
Tyre pressure
Having the correct tyre pressure is important. Incorrect tyre pressure can lead to punctures, increased wear or damage to the rim at low pressure. On most e-bikes the tyre pressure is about 3.5 to 6 bar. On the side of your tyre you can always see what the pressure of your bicycle tyres should be.
General tip for maintenance
A lot of maintenance can easily be carried out yourself, but it is wise to have the bicycle mechanic look at it.
