Description

Description

The Cube Nuroad is a versatile gravel bike ideal for the beginner gravel cyclist.

Versatile to use
As the title suggests, the Cube Nuroad is versatile. A gravel ride, commute or a tour on tarmac; it's all possible. With sturdy components and comfortable geometry, cycling fun is guaranteed.

Technology

Suitable gravel frame
The basis of this gravel bike is the lightweight aluminium frame. The cables are integrated into this frame, so they won't get dirty in a rain shower or splashing dirt. Another fine point about the frame is its gravel geometry. The frame is thus specially built for gravel riding, and therefore gives that little bit of extra comfort. Another important point is the carbon fork. This fork absorbs shocks in the road surface excellently, allowing you to keep cycling comfortably.

Shifting and braking
For shifting gears, Cube has chosen the Shimano Claris group. With this group, you get 16 gears and a large cassette. Together this makes for a huge gear range, which will get you up even on steep gravel paths. Braking on the Cube Nuroad is done with Tektro mechanical disc brakes. Disc brakes have tremendous stopping power, in addition to providing excellent braking performance in bad weather conditions.

Real gravel tyre
This gravel bike uses the Schwalbe G-One All-round tyres. This is a universal gravel tyre that also handles well on other surfaces. The tyre's versatile tread profile rolls lightly, but will give you more than enough grip on a trail.

Nice bike for a good price

- Tessa 7 April 2023

I bought this bike last month and tested it extensively in the store first. Great that there were options and advice for that. I already had a road bike, but for long trips and vacations I wanted a bike that was more flexible in terms of terrain and on which I sat a little more upright. Because of the thicker tires with more profile, it also rides well on unpaved roads. On paved roads you of course lose some speed. I really like the seat so far. Because I sit more upright than on the road bike, my back and shoulders are less stressed. The only thing I have to get used to is that the brakes are quite far away from the handlebars. I have smaller hands so I really have to brake with my fingertips. Perhaps this is because there is no women's model of the bike and the average user has larger male hands. All in all happy with the bike and already made some nice trips on it.

Pros & Cons

beautiful design
comfortable seating
good service
price-quality ratio
grip to brake a little big
