Description

Description

The Bulls Grinder 4 is a fine gravel bike for anyone who likes to seek out the dirt adventure on their weekends.

Off the beaten track
Bulls has designed a gravel bike that can go either way. A refined geometry, gravel-specific drivetrain and specific gravel components allow for many enjoyable kilometres.

Technology

Comfortable geometry
At the core of this this gravel bike is the lightweight aluminium frame. This lightweight frame ensures fine handling so you can tear through corners in a controlled manner. The geometry of this bike is geared towards comfort, so you'll enjoy sitting in the saddle even on long rides. Moreover, Bulls has fitted a front fork which handles bumps and potholes well.

Specific gravel parts
On the Grinder 4, you shift with the gravel-specific 1x11 speed Shimano GRX parts. This group shifts quickly and smoothly, even in poor conditions. The bike comes with 11 gears and an 11-42 cassette. This gives you a very wide gear range, allowing you to effortlessly conquer the steep trails. On the descents, you can rely on Shimano hydraulic disc brakes. These brakes deliver a lot of braking power and are easy to dose. Even in bad conditions, you can rely on the Bulls Grinder 4's good braking performance.

Lots of grip
Bulls opted for a sturdy wheelset on this gravel bike. On this wheelset are wide Schwalbe G-One tyres. These tyres deliver a good combination between grip and rolling resistance. In addition, at 40 mm, these tyres are nice and wide, so you can ride very comfortably and with plenty of grip.

The price-performance winner on the gravel bike market

- Sid 20 October 2023

I have now ridden my Bulls Rider four for over 500 km. Steep climbs with gravel are easy to manage in first gear Descents on gravel or road are really fun! Tours above 120 km per day are no problem.

Delicious all-rounder at a reasonable price.

- Simon 14 October 2023

The Grinder 4 sits and rides wonderfully. In my case, a spoke broke fairly quickly and with it a blow to the rear wheel. Mantel solved this nicely under guarantee. Really awkward is the cable feed-through through the downtube. It is on top instead of on the side. This leaves you little choice if you want to use a frame bag. Quite a design flaw and something you need to look at carefully if you want to use this bike for bikepacking.

Pros & Cons

Comfortable seating position
Fast bicycle
Fine hydraulic brakes
Many attachment points
Cable routing in awkward place
Handlebar tape slippery when wet
No room to raise or lower stem

Very satisfied

- Eddy Hendrickx 10 October 2023

Bike owned for almost 2 weeks now, already made several trips with it. Bike is very good, rides well, switches well. And I liked it too, but of course that's everyone's personal taste.

Solid, smooth bike for all types of terrain!

- Miriam 30 September 2023

A lovely gravel bike that I was able to ride for over 50 km straight away with no experience. Super light, easy over semi-paved terrain and smoothly fast over asphalt. Shifting gears is very easy, the riding position is great and despite the low weight, the bike feels 'solid and reliable'. Mantel staff gave great advice!

Pros & Cons

Light steering
Many possibilities to add extras
