The BMC 257 Urbanchallenge AL One is an ideal commuter bike for the sporty cyclist.
Carefree and fast on the road
BMC have developed an urban fitness bike that will get you on the road smoothly and worry-free. With reliable gears, good brakes and a sporty geometry, it ensures very fast rides for you.
The frame of the BMC 257 AL Three fitness bike is made of premium aluminium. It makes the bike lightweight and stiff and its handling stable and responsive. For a comfortable ride, BMC have opted for a carbon fork, which you see a lot on gravel bikes as well. This carbon fork absorbs the vibrations from the road perfectly so that you arrive at your destination comfortably and quickly.
Low-maintenance drive
This fitness bike does not have a traditional chain but instead uses a belt drive. A belt drive is a lot lighter and (almost) maintenance free. Changing gears is done with the Shimano Alfine 8-speed hub, which has a gear range of 307%, allowing you to cycle against the wind smoothly. The Shimano hydraulic disc brakes are known for their enormous braking power, moreover, they are very easy to control. Even if you're on the road in rainy weather you can fully rely on your bike's excellent braking performance.
