Recommended dosage: The depletion of the carbohydrate supply during exercise is one of the main causes of fatigue. Carbohydrate replenishment before and during exercise can improve (cycling) performance. If the effort lasts longer than 90 minutes, it is recommended to consume extra carbohydrates. It is recommended to consume approximately 1 to 2 energy bars per hour. Or consume energy bars in combination with other sports nutrition products until an intake of 60 grams of carbohydrates per hour is reached. A common strategy is to consume energy bars during the more intensive phases of exercise. The digestion process of energy bars requires less blood flow compared to other sports nutrition products.
